We are so excited for the weekend of Easter this year!
Saturday is going to be an amazing day as we host the largest egg hunt in the Pearland ISD! We will have over 20,000 eggs, with prizes for all age groups, and interactive games like a rock climbing wall, inflatable obstacle course, and more!!

I Love My Church is the brand new giving campaign for the year of 2012. God has truly blessed LifePointe, and has given us a vision to move forward in the coming year.

We often hear people telling others they LOVE LifePointe.Maybe it’s a conversation between two young mothers talking about the children’s programs, or a married couple recommending somone to come to a LifeGroup with them because that’s where “life happens” at LifePointe. Maybe it’s somone telling a co-worker about the relaxed, “come as you are” atmosphere on Sunday mornings, or annointed worship, or the life-changing message you will hear. Tha’ts what’s so cool about LifePointe. It’s a place for all ages, all walks of life, and all backgrounds.

Starting in mid-February we are going to be launchging a brand new giving campaign for the year of 2012. This campaign is called “I LOVE MY CHURCH”. We want to hear why YOU love LifePointe. Simply click on the link below to send us your answer.

Later in February we will be launching a brand new website that will allow you to view the answeres of other members and attenders of LifePointe, as well as watch some videos of members telling you their story of why they love LifePointe. You’ll also be able to read, in detail, about our vision, and our goals for the year.

21 Days

Every year in January we, as a church family, begin 21 days of prayer and fasting. This year our 21 days of prayer and fasting begins on January 15th.

We invite EVERYONE to participate on some level.

There are several types of fasting. The one you choose is between you and God. He will honor your best sacrifice!

Types of Fasts

Drink only liquids (you establish the number of days).

Eat no meat, no sweets and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.

This fast can be a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

A partial fast is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or from sun up to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting —a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

Biblical Fasting

According to the Bible, there are three duties of every Christian: give, pray and fast.

Biblical fasting takes a lot of discipline and strength—strength which you can only receive from God. Your private discipline will bring you rewards in Heaven, says Matthew 6. When you give God your first through fasting, prayer and giving at the beginning of the year, you set the course for the entire year.

Why should I fast?

Are you in need of healing or a miracle?
Do you need the tender touch of God in your life?
Is there a dream inside you that only He can make possible?
Are you in need of a fresh encounter?
Do you desire a deeper, more intimate and powerful relationship with the Lord?
Are you ready to have heightened sensitivity to the desires of God?
Do you need to break away from bondages that have been holding you hostage?
Is there a friend or loved one that needs Salvation?
Do you desire to know God’s will for your life?

BIBLICAL FASTING FOCUS

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2 ”I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

ROMANS 12:1 ”I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.”

MATTHEW 6:33 ”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

ISAIAH 58:6 ”[Is] not this the fast that I have chosen to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”

Here at LifePointe we believe that prayer is the foundation to growing closer to God, and is the key to going to the next level as a church and individually.

We are inviting everyone to be a part of our prayer time from 9:30AM to 10:00AM every Sunday. You will experience a different format for our prayer time than we have done in the past.

At The Movies

Beginning September 18 we will be starting a brand new series called “At The Movies”.

During our Sunday morning services throughout this series we will be watching parts of some of the latest blockbuster hits to try to find truth At The Movies.

On our first service, September 18, we will be having Woody from Toy Story 3 in the lobby for you to take pictures with as well as FREE popcorn and drinks that you can take in to service with you.

Don’t come expecting “church as usual”. Invite a friend to come with you on the start of this series!

Night Of Worship

Join us this evening at 6PM for a night of worship with The Ross Turner Band, a worship team from Colorado.

Ross was the Worship Song Writer Of The Year in 2006, and has interned with The Desperation Band.

Service starts at 6PM, but get here early to get great seats!
